Experience Works, Inc. is a charitable , community-based organization focused on meeting the training and employment needs of low income, unemployed men and women 55 years of age and older.

Experience Works services are supported by individual donations, foundations and grants. We are funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor as authorized under Title V of the Older Americans Act through Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). Experience Works is the largest SCSEP program in the nation, serving thirty states ands Puerto Rico.

Fred Garcia has now retired, after four years of being very committed to the Jackson County community, from his position as the Employment & Training Coordinator for EW Jackson County.

Interfaith Care Community and Experience Works became partners in 1999.

ICC became an active Host Agency in 1999 and through the years trained many EW participants.

In 2009 ICC provided office space for EW to place a member of the training team on site.

Seven members of ICC’s current staff came to them through the Experience Works Program.

In 2009, ICC was awarded the ‘Experience Works Champion Host Agency Award’ , for excellence in providing valuable training and subsequently employing participants as full time staff.
